What we build

A deck built right the first time.

Most decks up here fail at the same few spots — the posts, the boards, and where it meets the house. We build all three for Colorado, so your deck still looks new years from now.

Composite or cedar boards

We mostly use composite from TimberTech and Deckorators — it won't fade, crack, or splinter in our strong sun. Want the natural wood look? We build in cedar too, sealed for our dry air.

Posts set deep, past the clay

Our clay swells up when it gets wet and can push a deck up off the house. We dig the posts down deep to solid ground so a wet spring can't lift them.

Walkout & multi-level decks

Lots of Front Range homes sit a full story above the yard. We build decks that step down level by level to the grass — not one tall deck with a long flight of stairs.

Railings that save the view

On hilltop lots, the view is the whole reason you bought the house. We use thin cable or metal railing so it almost disappears and the mountains don't.

Sealed to the house the right way

Where a deck meets the house is where leaks and rot start. We flash and seal that joint so water runs off and your siding stays dry.

One clean build, start to finish

We start when we said, show up every day, and haul off the old deck and the mess. You get a real schedule up front — that on-time part is behind a lot of our reviews.

Decks in your town

We build deck across the Front Range.

Pick your town to see how we build deck right there — the soil, the weather, the permits, and the HOA rules are a little different in each one.

Built for Colorado

Up here, the ground and the sky fight your deck. We build for both.

The Front Range sits high and dry, on clay that swells, under strong sun and some of the worst hail in the country. Wherever your deck goes, we build it for that.

Clay that lifts things

The clay under most Front Range yards swells up about 10% when it gets wet — enough to push a deck post up out of the ground. We set posts deep on solid ground so a wet spring can't move them.

Snow and freeze-thaw

We size every deck frame for our snow, and for the way it freezes cold at night and thaws by day. That back-and-forth slowly loosens anything built for warmer places.

Strong sun & hail

Up at altitude the sun is harder on boards, and we sit right in Hail Alley. We use tougher composite that won't fade or crack, and can add a cover so the hail bounces off.

Permits and HOA approval

We pull your town or county permit and handle the inspections. We also fill out the HOA or design-review paperwork — plans, materials, and colors — so your deck gets approved the first time.

“They tore out our very old deck and built a new, much bigger one. They started exactly when they said and showed up every day on time. Our new deck is AWESOME — love the TimberTech too.”

Decks questions

What homeowners ask us.

What kind of decks do you build?
Composite and cedar decks, walkout and multi-level decks, picture-frame designs, covered decks, and deck repairs. We're a family-owned crew, and the owners — Jon and Janessa Lang — are on every job.
Do I need a permit for a deck?
Almost always, yes. Most Front Range towns and counties require a permit for a deck, and your contractor has to be signed up with the local building office. We pull the permit and handle the inspections for you.
Does my HOA have to approve the deck?
In most Front Range neighborhoods, yes. The HOA or design committee checks your plans, materials, and colors first. We fill out that paperwork for you.
How do you keep a deck from shifting in the clay?
Our clay swells up about 10% when it gets wet. We dig the posts down deep, past the clay, to solid ground, and seal the deck to the house the right way so a wet spring can't push it up.
What decking lasts longest up here?
At altitude the strong sun and hail are hard on wood. We mostly use composite (TimberTech and Deckorators) that won't fade, crack, or splinter — or cedar if you want the natural wood look.
How much does a deck cost?
It depends on size, height, and materials, but you get a free, itemized estimate with every material and cost laid out line by line — no hidden fees. Most homeowners hear back the same day.
