What we build in Foxfield

One crew for the whole property.

Most Foxfield places need more than one thing — a deck and a ranch fence, a cover for the patio and new siding. We do all of it, so you're not chasing five different contractors out to your acreage.

Built for Foxfield

Out here it's horses, big lots, and a Town that checks your plans. We build for all of it.

Foxfield is a tiny, quiet horse town off Arapahoe Road and E-470 — about 750 people on large rural-residential lots, no stoplights and no strip malls. It sits at about 5,750 feet on Front Range clay, out in the open high-plains wind and hail. Whatever we build for you — deck, fence, or cover — we build it for that, and we get it through the Town first.

Clay that lifts things

The Front Range clay under Foxfield swells up when it gets wet — enough to push a deck or fence post up out of the ground. We set posts on drilled piers, down past the frost line to solid ground, so a wet spring can't lift them.

Open high-plains wind

Foxfield's lots are wide open, so the wind has nothing to stop it before it hits a tall fence or a deck rail. We set heavier posts deeper and brace them right, so a hard gust doesn't lay a long run over.

Right in Hail Alley

This stretch of the Front Range gets some of the worst hail in the country. We use tougher boards and siding, and build covered patios, for folks who are tired of fixing the damage after every big storm.

Town design review & permits

Foxfield runs its building office through SAFEbuilt's Community Connect portal (building official 303-941-4429). Any structure over 120 sq ft — a barn, shed, or large pergola or cover — also needs a Town design review (drawings + site plan) before the permit. We handle both.

What we see in Foxfield yards

The Foxfield calls all start to rhyme.

After a few hundred Front Range builds, the requests from this little horse town are predictable in the best way. Odds are yours is on this list — and we've already solved it.

Ranch & horse fencing

Foxfield is horse country, so the fence has a real job to do. We build ranch rail, split-rail and 3-rail that looks the part, plus no-climb horse mesh and corrals and cross-fencing to split a lot into paddocks — not the suburban privacy vinyl you'd see over in the subdivisions.

Barns, sheds & the 120-sq-ft rule

Anything over 120 square feet — a run-in shed, a barn, a big pergola or cover — has to clear a Town design review before the permit. We draw the elevations and site plan, take them to the Town, and get the sign-off, so your project isn't stuck waiting.

Decks that sit solid on clay

The clay out here pushes shallow posts up and pulls a deck off the house. We set decks on drilled piers down past the frost line, and seal them to the house the right way, so a wet spring doesn't lift them.

Covers for the hail and sun

If you've patched a roof or a deck after a storm out here, you're not alone. We build covered patios and pergolas so you get shade in the summer and a roof over your head when the hail comes.

Working with the Town, not an HOA

In nearby Saddle Rock or Piney Creek you'd fight an HOA. In Foxfield it's the Town — covenant-light, but it checks your plans through design review. We've done that paperwork and deal with the Town for you.

The whole property at once

A lot of folks here want a deck, a ranch fence, and maybe a barn or new siding all together. One crew, one schedule, one bill — and it all matches when we're done.

“These guys are awesome. We had to tear down and move a fence on our farm property and their crew came out, took down the old fence and built the new one in record time. The new fence is beautiful and even the neighbor is happy with it.”

Foxfield questions

What homeowners ask us.

What do you build in Foxfield?
Decks, fences, pergolas, patio covers, full outdoor-living spaces, and siding — all built for Foxfield's big horse-property lots. We're a family-owned crew, and the owners — Jon and Janessa Lang — are on every job.
Do I need a permit in Foxfield?
Yes, most decks and fences need a Town of Foxfield permit. The Town has SAFEbuilt run its building office through the Community Connect portal (building official 303-941-4429). And here's the local catch: any structure bigger than 120 square feet — a barn, shed, or large pergola or cover — also needs a Town design review (drawings and a site plan) before the building permit. We handle both for you.
Does Foxfield have an HOA?
For most of Foxfield, no. Unlike nearby Saddle Rock or Piney Creek, where you answer to a big HOA, Foxfield is covenant-light — the Town itself governs your build through zoning and design review. We deal with the Town for you. If your home is in a spot with covenants, we check those too. The Town Clerk handles zoning questions (303-680-1544).
Can you build horse and ranch fencing?
Yes — it's a big part of what we do in Foxfield. Most lots out here are zoned for horses, so folks need real horse fencing: ranch rail, split-rail, 3-rail, or no-climb horse mesh that keeps a hoof from getting caught. We also build corrals and cross-fencing to split a lot into paddocks.
How do you handle the clay, wind, and hail?
The clay under Foxfield swells up when it gets wet, so we set posts on drilled piers down past the frost line to solid ground. For the open high-plains wind we brace deep posts, and for the strong sun and hail we use tougher composite and siding that won't fade or crack.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — we're licensed, insured, and BBB Accredited. License details come with your written estimate.
