What we build in The Pinery

One crew for the whole backyard.

Most Pinery homes need more than one thing — a deck and a fence, a patio cover and new siding, all tucked in under the pines. We do all of it, so you're not chasing five different contractors around a treed lot.

Built for The Pinery

Pines, clay, and Hail Alley all push on your backyard. We build for all three.

The Pinery is a wooded golf community in Douglas County, just south of Parker off Parker Road. Mature ponderosa pines, big shaded lots, golf-course and lake views, clay that swells when it gets wet, and some of the worst hail in the country. Whatever we build for you — deck, fence, or cover — we build it for that.

Clay-deep posts

The clay under The Pinery swells up when it gets wet — enough to push a deck or fence post up out of the ground. We dig the posts down deep to solid ground, so a wet spring or melting snow under the pines can't lift them.

Working around the pines

Mature ponderosas shade your yard and drop needles all year. We build around the big roots so your trees stay healthy, and pick boards that handle the damp and shade — not cheap wood that grays and rots under the trees.

Right in Hail Alley

The Pinery sits in Colorado's Hail Alley, where big storms roll through summer after summer. We use tougher boards and siding and build covered decks for folks tired of fixing hail damage on a treed lot.

County permit & HOA approval

The Pinery is unincorporated Douglas County, not the Town of Parker — so the permit goes through Douglas County (303-660-7497), not the Parker office. The Pinery also has its own covenants and architectural review, including deck color rules. We handle all of it.

What we see in The Pinery yards

The Pinery calls all start to rhyme.

After a few hundred Front Range builds, the requests from this community are predictable in the best way. Odds are yours is on this list — and we've already solved it.

Decks on golf-course & lake lots

Backing the Pinery Country Club fairways or looking out at Bingham Lake, the deck is the whole point. We build it to frame that view and use thin cable or metal railing so the railing almost disappears.

Walkout decks on the slope

A lot of Pinery lots drop off toward the course or the trees, so the main floor sits a story above the yard. We build decks that step down, level by level, to the yard — not one tall deck with a long flight of stairs.

Shaded, treed-lot decks

Under the ponderosas your deck stays damp and catches needles. We pick boards that shrug off the shade and the pine litter, and build around the big roots so your trees keep their health.

Color-approved builds

The Pinery's architectural committee checks stain colors and materials before you build. We've done that paperwork before and handle it for you, so your deck or fence passes review the first time.

Large-lot & deer fencing

The treed acreage here brings deer right into the yard. We build taller deer fencing and large-lot privacy or ranch fences that keep them out of the garden while still looking clean.

The whole backyard at once

A lot of folks here want a deck, a fence, and maybe new siding all together. One crew, one schedule, one bill — and it all matches when we're done.

The Pinery questions

What homeowners ask us.

What do you build in The Pinery?
Decks, fences, pergolas, patio covers, full outdoor-living spaces, and siding. We're a family-owned crew, and the owners — Jon and Janessa Lang — are on every job. The Pinery's big treed lots, golf-course and lake views, and country-club rules are right in our wheelhouse.
Do I need a permit in The Pinery?
Yes. The Pinery sits in unincorporated Douglas County, not the Town of Parker, so your permit goes through Douglas County Building (303-660-7497) — not the Parker office. We pull it for you. Every deck needs a permit, and a fence needs one if it's over six feet.
Does The Pinery HOA have to approve it?
Yes. The Pinery has its own covenants and an architectural control committee that checks your plans, colors, and materials first — deck stain colors especially. We fill out that paperwork for you so it passes the first time.
How do you build for the pines and clay?
The clay under The Pinery swells up when it gets wet, so we dig the posts down deep to solid ground. On the shaded, treed lots we use boards that hold up to damp and pine needles, and we work around mature ponderosa roots so your trees stay healthy.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — we're licensed, insured, and BBB Accredited. License details come with your written estimate.
How fast can you start?
It depends on the season, the county permit, and HOA review, but you get a real schedule up front and a crew that shows up when we said. That on-time part is behind a lot of our reviews.
