What we build

One crew for the whole backyard.

Most folks here want more than one thing — a deck and a fire pit, a patio and a cover. We do all of it on one schedule, so it all matches and you're not juggling five different contractors.

Decks & patios

The foundation of any backyard — a composite or cedar deck, a paver or concrete patio, or both, flowing into each other instead of feeling bolted on.

Fire pits & fireplaces

A gas or wood fire pit, or a full outdoor fireplace, so the yard works in the cool Colorado evenings — which is most of them.

Seating & retaining walls

Built-in seating walls give you extra seats without hauling out chairs, and retaining walls turn a sloped lot into usable, flat space.

Pergolas & covers

Add shade and a roof so the space works in the midday sun and when the hail comes. We tie it all into the deck and house cleanly.

Privacy walls

Block the neighbor's view and cut the wind so your space actually feels private. Jon designs these to match the rest of the build.

Planned and built together

When one crew plans the whole yard, the deck, patio, fire pit, and cover all line up and match. One schedule, one bill, one team that owns the result.

Outdoor Living in your town

We build outdoor living across the Front Range.

Pick your town to see how we build outdoor living right there — the soil, the weather, the permits, and the HOA rules are a little different in each one.

Built for Colorado

A backyard you'll actually use, in a climate that fights it.

Clay, sun, hail, and cool nights all shape how a backyard should be built here. We plan the whole space for our weather so you use it spring through fall — and around the fire in winter.

Clay that shifts

Decks, patios, and walls all sit on clay that swells when it's wet. We build the footings deep and right so the whole yard stays level instead of cracking and heaving.

Sun, hail & cool nights

We plan shade for the strong midday sun, covers for the hail, and a fire feature for the cool evenings — so the space works at every time of day.

Snow and freeze-thaw

Everything we build is sized for our snow and the freeze-thaw that loosens lesser work. That's why our builds still feel solid years later.

Permits and HOA approval

A full backyard build can touch several permits and HOA reviews. We handle all of it — one team pulling the paperwork, not you chasing each piece.

Outdoor Living questions

What homeowners ask us.

What goes into an outdoor living build?
Whatever your yard needs — decks, patios, fire pits, fireplaces, seating walls, retaining walls, pergolas, covers, and privacy walls. We're a family-owned crew, and Jon and Janessa Lang are on every job.
Can you do the whole backyard at once?
Yes — that's our favorite kind of project. One crew plans and builds it all on one schedule, so the deck, patio, fire pit, and cover all match and line up.
Do I have to know exactly what I want first?
No. Tell us how you want to use the space and Jon will help design it. A lot of our builds start as 'we're not sure, but…' and end as a finished backyard.
Will it hold up to our weather?
Yes. We build the footings deep for our clay, size everything for our snow, and plan shade and fire features for our sun and cool nights — so the space lasts and you use it year-round.
Do you handle the permits and HOA?
Yes. A full build can touch several permits and HOA reviews. We pull all the paperwork so you don't have to chase each piece.
How much does an outdoor living project cost?
It depends on what you include, but you get a free, itemized estimate with every piece laid out line by line — no hidden fees. Most homeowners hear back the same day.
