Saddle Rock sits up in SE Aurora around the city-owned golf course, near E-470 and Arapahoe Road. The lots are deep clay, the sun and hail are hard on a backyard, and the homes near the course have rules about what you can build. Whatever we build for you — deck, view fence, or cover — we build it for that.
The clay under Saddle Rock swells up when it gets wet — enough to push a deck or fence post up out of the ground. We set the posts down about three feet, past the clay to solid ground, so a wet spring can't lift them.
We size every frame for the snow up here, and for the way it freezes cold at night and thaws by day. That back-and-forth slowly loosens anything built for warmer places.
The Front Range gets some of the worst hail in the country, and the strong sun fades cheap boards fast. We use tougher composite and siding, and build covered decks for folks near the course tired of fixing the damage.
Saddle Rock is inside the City of Aurora, so the permit goes through Aurora's own building office (303-739-7420), not the county. Your HOA ACC — Saddle Rock Golf, Saddle Rock Ridge, or Saddle Rock Ranches — has to say yes first. We handle both.

If your lot backs the Saddle Rock Golf Course, Aurora city code says the fence has to be open wrought-iron with masonry columns — a "view fence," not a solid wood one. We build them to that rule and keep your view of the fairway wide open.
A lot of Saddle Rock homes sit on walkout lots, where the main floor is a full story above the backyard. We build decks that step down, level by level, to the yard — not one tall deck with a long flight of stairs.
On the lots that look out over the course or the open space, you bought the house for that view. We use thin cable or metal railing so the railing almost disappears — and the fairway and the Front Range don't.
