What we build in Saddle Rock

One crew for the whole backyard.

Most Saddle Rock homes need more than one thing — a deck and a view fence, a patio cover and new siding. We do all of it, so you're not chasing five different contractors near the golf course.

Built for Saddle Rock

The golf course, the clay, and the sky all shape your backyard. We build for all three.

Saddle Rock sits up in SE Aurora around the city-owned golf course, near E-470 and Arapahoe Road. The lots are deep clay, the sun and hail are hard on a backyard, and the homes near the course have rules about what you can build. Whatever we build for you — deck, view fence, or cover — we build it for that.

Deep clay that lifts things

The clay under Saddle Rock swells up when it gets wet — enough to push a deck or fence post up out of the ground. We set the posts down about three feet, past the clay to solid ground, so a wet spring can't lift them.

Snow and freeze-thaw

We size every frame for the snow up here, and for the way it freezes cold at night and thaws by day. That back-and-forth slowly loosens anything built for warmer places.

Right in Hail Alley

The Front Range gets some of the worst hail in the country, and the strong sun fades cheap boards fast. We use tougher composite and siding, and build covered decks for folks near the course tired of fixing the damage.

City permit and your ACC

Saddle Rock is inside the City of Aurora, so the permit goes through Aurora's own building office (303-739-7420), not the county. Your HOA ACC — Saddle Rock Golf, Saddle Rock Ridge, or Saddle Rock Ranches — has to say yes first. We handle both.

What we see in Saddle Rock yards

The Saddle Rock calls all start to rhyme.

After a few hundred Front Range builds, the requests from this community are predictable in the best way. Odds are yours is on this list — and we've already solved it.

View fences on the golf-course lots

If your lot backs the Saddle Rock Golf Course, Aurora city code says the fence has to be open wrought-iron with masonry columns — a "view fence," not a solid wood one. We build them to that rule and keep your view of the fairway wide open.

Decks for walkout lots

A lot of Saddle Rock homes sit on walkout lots, where the main floor is a full story above the backyard. We build decks that step down, level by level, to the yard — not one tall deck with a long flight of stairs.

Saving the open-space view

On the lots that look out over the course or the open space, you bought the house for that view. We use thin cable or metal railing so the railing almost disappears — and the fairway and the Front Range don't.

Covers for the hail and sun

If you've patched a deck or a roof after a storm, you're not alone. We build covered decks and louvered pergolas so you get shade in the summer and a roof over your head when the hail comes.

Builds that pass the right ACC

Saddle Rock has more than one HOA — Saddle Rock Golf, Saddle Rock Ridge, and Saddle Rock Ranches. Each has its own ACC, and each one is a little different. We know which one approves your street and fill out the form for you.

The whole backyard at once

A lot of folks here want a deck, a view fence, and maybe new siding all together. One crew, one schedule, one bill — and it all matches when we're done.

Saddle Rock questions

What homeowners ask us.

What do you build in Saddle Rock?
Decks, fences, pergolas, patio covers, full outdoor-living spaces, and siding. We're a family-owned crew, and the owners — Jon and Janessa Lang — are on every job across Saddle Rock Golf, Saddle Rock Ridge, and Saddle Rock Ranches.
Do I need a permit in Saddle Rock?
Yes. Saddle Rock is inside the City of Aurora, so the permit goes through Aurora's own Building Division (303-739-7420), not the county. We pull it for you and handle the inspections.
Does my HOA have to approve it?
Yes. Saddle Rock has more than one HOA — Saddle Rock Golf, Saddle Rock Ridge, and Saddle Rock Ranches each have their own ACC. The ACC has to approve your plans before the City of Aurora permit. We fill out the paperwork for you.
Can I put a fence on my golf-course lot?
Yes, but if your lot backs the Saddle Rock Golf Course, Aurora city code says it has to be an open wrought-iron view fence with masonry columns — not a solid wood privacy fence. We build them to that rule and get your ACC and city sign-off.
How do you handle the deep clay and the weather?
The clay under Saddle Rock swells up when it gets wet, so we set the posts down about three feet, past the clay to solid ground. For the strong sun and hail, we use tougher composite and siding that won't fade or crack.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — we're licensed, insured, and BBB Accredited. License details come with your written estimate.
