Elizabeth, CO · Family-owned
Tough siding built for Elizabeth — hard sun, Hail Alley hail, and open-plains wind, with fire-aware options for the treed Ponderosa Park lots. Built by Jon & Janessa Lang.
Built for Elizabeth
We've re-sided homes out on the big acreage lots all along CO-86 — and the weather up here is rough on a wall. Elizabeth sits high on the Palmer Divide at about 6,477 feet, in Hail Alley, under strong sun and open-plains wind, with about 76 inches of snow a year.
Cheap siding doesn't last out here: the strong sun fades it, the hail dents and cracks it, and the wind works loose panels until they rattle and lift. We use tougher fiber-cement that takes the hits and holds its color — and for the treed Ponderosa Park lots, siding that doesn't burn the way wood does.
“These guys are definitely top-notch. They did very good quality work on the house. They were on time and easy to deal with. There was nothing hidden about the pricing.”

Most siding problems out here trace back to the hail, the sun, or the wind. We pick the product and fasten it for all three.
Elizabeth gets some of the worst hail anywhere, and at 6,477 feet the sun is strong. We use fiber-cement siding that shrugs off the hail and holds its color, instead of the cheap stuff that dents, cracks, and fades.
On the bare acreage the wind works at loose or thin siding until it rattles and lifts. We fasten the siding the right way for high wind and use a heavier product that doesn't flap, so a gusty day can't peel a panel off.
The Ponderosa Park area is treed and has real wildfire risk. Fiber-cement siding doesn't burn the way wood does, so pairing it with the right trim and soffit gives your house a tougher skin if a fire comes through the pines.
Most full siding jobs need a permit. Elizabeth is in Elbert County, so it comes from Elbert County in Kiowa (303-621-3136) — not Douglas County. If your address is inside town limits, the Town of Elizabeth handles it. We figure out which one is yours and pull it for you.
“I am extremely impressed with the workmanship. High quality product and materials. Exceptional communication.”

After a few hundred Front Range builds, the requests from out here are predictable in the best way. Odds are yours is on this list — and we've already solved it.
If a Hail Alley storm dented and cracked your old siding, you're not alone. We tear it off and put up fiber-cement that takes the next storm without falling apart.
The strong sun at 6,477 feet bleaches cheap siding out in a few years. We re-side with a product that holds its color, so the house stops looking tired and you stop repainting.
Folks in the treed Ponderosa Park lots want a house that's harder to lose to a wildfire. We use fiber-cement that doesn't burn like wood, paired with the right trim and soffit.
Out on the open acreage the wind works thin or loose siding until it rattles and lifts. We re-fasten it the right way for high wind with a heavier product that stays put.
A lot of the older homes and farmhouses out here are ready for a new look. New siding, trim, and color give the place a full refresh without rebuilding anything.
Adding on, building a shop, or putting up a barn? We match the new siding to the house so the whole place looks like it was planned together, not pieced together.
